Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva believes that hunger for victories will be key as the season approaches the business end.
Arsenal are currently two points ahead of City, with a game in hand, in the English Premier League title race.
“What motivates me are the memories of our successes, they are so nice that we always want to repeat them,” said Bernardo.
“Having said this, we have the responsibility of doing our best for the fans and for the Club that we represent, so we always give our all to be able to win again and also to leave our mark on football history.
“The story that we have written as a team, winning four of the last five Premier Leagues, and having won League Cups, FA Cups, Community Shields.
"We also want to add the Champions League to this, and this willingness keeps growing to cement this special period in the Club’s history – it’s something that we all feel.”
Bernardo is also looking forward to the game against Bournemouth on Saturday (today) in the Premier League.
“The games have come thick and fast, it’s been a tough run of fixtures and it’s not been easy,” he said.
“We drew with Forest, and we’ve not been able to constantly win.
“Once more we’re going to give our best against Bournemouth away from home, of course that’s harder than playing at home, but with a lot of desire to bring back the three points.”
City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is a doubt for the Bournemouth clash on Saturday after missing the Champions League draw at Leipzig on Wednesday due to illness.
Manager Pep Guardiola said his players, in the middle of a run of five away games, were feeling the strain.
"Now it is a question to consider because our fatigue is there, definitely, but we have to take energy from I don't know where, but we have to do it," he said.
Guardiola also insisted Erling Haaland is not to blame for his lack of involvement in Manchester City's attack because the whole team should take responsibility when they fail to click.
"It is our fault, not Erling's. Erling has been impressive all season," Guardiola said Friday on the eve of City's Premier League clash against Bournemouth.
"It's not metrics, I don't need metrics to know. When I finish the game, one second later I know if he has been involved or not and who should be more involved or not."
